As we move into November, leaving the excitement of Halloween, the first snow fall, and Thanksgiving behind us, it has been lovely to see the students settling into our classroom routines, making new friends, and engaging in learning. The Preschool teachers are enjoying getting to know the children and their families, and we would like to thank all of our parent volunteers who have been busy helping with playdough, laundry, library books and so much more! We have a lot to be thankful for this month! After the summer break, it was great to be back in the classroom with our friends, learning and playing together. Thanks to our incredible team of teachers, the children have spent the past month getting to know one another and settling into a routine of free-play, circle and story time, as well as daily art activities. As parents, we delight in the stories of their day and all that they are learning. We have two overarching themes in the Preschool...

The playhouse has been a shop, school, house, garage, hotel and secret den to name a few! Children’s imaginations really are the most amazing...

Each class got to name their class chick and watch how they grew and changed over the three weeks. We even taught them to swim!! The chicks are now happily back at the farm enjoying a more...

They learnt about their bodies, how they live and how they adapt to the challenging weather we have in Canada. They thought about the question ‘Where do animals go during the winter?’ ‘Do they hibernate,...
